Microsoft Fixes 4 Critical Vulnerabilities in October Patch Tuesday

Over this week Microsoft released the monthly security advance notification. This month we have 8 security bulletins that comes to patch several vulnerabilities in windows operating system, Internet Explorer,. NET, Office, SharePoint and Silver-light.

7 updates are for fixing remote code execution bugs and one for information disclosure vulnerability. This month there is four updates ranked critical and those need a special attention by system administrators as exploitation of such flaws does not require user’s interaction.

October’s Patch Tuesday contain a relatively less number of patches compared to previous months. September report included about 13 bulletins. If you have a Microsoft based system it is time to review the advance notification to plan your next security update and which system requires restart.
