Security scanners are important tools that communicate with remote hosts to identify vulnerabilities or security issues. In the network we have several topologies and architecture and it is possible that the scanner be blocked by the intrusion detection and prevention systems which will prevent having a good result we are searching for. Topera is a TCP scanner tool that can be used for this purpose and it allows scanning IPv6 protocol.
Topera allows attacker to hide the scan from snort intrusion detection system and control the scan performed to get better result from the target. The new version may run slow HTTP attacks (Slowloris over IPv6) and Improved TCP port scanner.
Topera can be a good addition during a penetration test if you look to hide your scans and to identify IPv6 networks. You can download the tool on the following link: http://toperaproject.github.io/topera/
