SecurityTubeCon: first online Hacker Conference

SecurityTubeCon is the name of the first online hacker conference, this event will be held on the 6th, 7th and 8th November and aims to provide researchers a way to share and exchange their thoughts online regardless of their physical location.
Procedure for Speakers selection is unusual because the organizers will not intend to approve or deny participant so it makes all people heard but they will put the talk abstracts online and attendee will choose the presentation they want to join. Well for who are not able to attend the presentation on time all videos will be freely available for download after a week from the conference.
The conference main topics will include:
a. Research Track: Show your bleeding edge research and zero days.
b. Tutorials Track: In-depth Tutorials on security technologies can be given by domain experts
c. Tool Demos: Demonstration of new and cutting edge tools by their original authors
d. Security Product Demos: Demos of state of the art security products by companies and organizations

New Service to Boot Operating System over Internet

New service allows users to download and install any Linux operating system directly from Internet. Netboot.me is a website that provides a bootable image and burns it to a CD, USB memory stick, or floppy disk that displays a menu with the distribution list and some useful tools for system diagnostics, partition and recovery.
Basically Netboot.me uses open source loader gPXE. Which is significantly enhanced by expending new protocols including NFS, FTP and HTTP. You can find in the OS List: Tiny Core Linux 2.2, Micro Core Linux 2.2, Debian Lenny, Debian Testing, Fedora 11, openSUSE 11.1, Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10, and FreeBSD 7.2.

ENISA: Awareness Raising Video Clips

ENISA has produced video clips which will sensitize your employees to information security risks and remind them of the basic golden rules. The ENISA video clips are available for download and use in any information security training programme, awareness activity and company website.
It is becoming very important for any successful global business to ensure that the corporate policy is prioritized and communicated in an efficient way. Human element plays a huge role in the security and safety of the Information system. So an excellent security policy can just enhance the capability to deal with information security threats and not to eliminate it totally.
My suggestion is to distribute these videos in your corporate and always to remember that prevention is the best medicine.

RSA Conference 2009 Webcasts
