Microsoft Plans few security patches for next week
Microsoft issued an advance notification for their next patch Tuesday which include seven bulletins that affect all operating systems and Microsoft Developer Tools. Vulnerabilities Severity Rating are critical to important and most of them require restart of the operating system.
The critical one allow an attacker to run a remote code execution on windows media player application, the remaining six bulletins going to patch important bugs such as the secure socket layer vulnerability on web servers and stractured exception overwrite protection technology but what is remarkable that if you are running latest Microsoft operating system like windows se7en or windows 2008 R2 than you have no critical patches and you need just to apply four bulletins instead of six.
Microsoft have previously updated the ASP.NET vulnerability in December 29 as an urgent fix for the DoS zero day bug, so if you are using Microsoft platform check the advance notification to prepare your system for the next patches.
