Seeker – Get Accurate Location using a Fake Website

Seeker is a tool that you can use during a penetration test or a security awareness session to create a fake website that requests users location. the fake website on In Built PHP Server and uses Ngrok.

Geo-location have been used by malwares to infect certain location and propagate in a targeted regions.

The website will ask for Location Permission and if the user allows it, attacker will have the following information:

  • Longitude
  • Latitude
  • Accuracy
  • Altitude – Not always available
  • Direction – Only available if user is moving
  • Speed – Only available if user is moving

Along with Location Information the tool provide the Operating System used, Platform, Number of CPU Cores ,Amount of RAM – Approximate Results ,Screen Resolution ,GPU information ,Browser Name and Version , Public IP Address.
